Petra started as a project by a small family in Norway who wanted to create better screen time for their own children. Today, we are a small team with one big goal: to create the best and most engaging learning content for young children.

As a mother of a young child, Mathilde struggled to find good screen content for her child. What existed had poor or limited language, was full of ads, or lacked educational content suitable for young children. So she decided to create her own. What started as a small project has grown into a team working full-time to create meaningful play and learning for children.
We are parents ourselves, and we create content we feel safe giving to our own children. Our wish is to give children a good first experience with games, where they can play, learn and build confidence at a calm pace. For us, good screen time is about safe, educational and age-appropriate content that engages without overstimulating.

Every game in Petra starts with a clear goal: to create play that is fun, meaningful and educational for young children. The content is linked to key areas of early childhood learning, developed with kindergarten teachers and tested with children before launch. This is how we ensure the experiences are age-appropriate, engaging and of high quality.
Behind Petra is a small team with a big love for what we create. We are parents, educators, developers and creatives, working together to create the best learning experiences for children.
