This privacy policy contains information about how we at Petra handle your personal data. When you use Petra, you consent to our collection and processing of your information as described in this privacy policy. We therefore strongly encourage you to read this policy carefully. Petras Verden AS is the data controller responsible for handling all information that can be linked to you as a person (also referred to as personal data). If you have any questions about this process or wish to contact us to exercise your rights, our contact information is provided below:
Our subscription services are managed through our payment provider RevenueCat, a trusted platform that uses your Apple or Google account to verify your subscription status. Each user is assigned an anonymous user ID, which is the only data we can access. We cannot associate this ID with any personally identifiable information unless you provide it to us in connection with a customer service inquiry. RevenueCat is SOC2-certified and GDPR-compliant, adhering to the highest standards of security and privacy. The information you provide about your child in our application, such as name and date of birth, is stored exclusively on your device and is not shared with us or any third party.
We may also collect personal information that you voluntarily provide during interactions with us, such as customer service requests or responses to customer surveys.
When you use the Petra application, a certain amount of technical information is automatically collected from your mobile device. This includes an anonymous unique identifier, data on which games you play, and the version of the app you are using. None of this data is personally identifiable. This data is collected through our analytics provider, Mixpanel, and is subject to their terms of service and privacy policy. By registering as a user of our platform, you consent to the automatic collection and sharing of this information with Mixpanel.
The data we collect is used exclusively to improve our application and enhance your user experience. For example, we use this data to gain insights into which games and content are most popular and where improvements can be made to further optimize Petra. Each user is assigned an anonymous unique identifier to resolve any issues that may arise with subscriptions, and this identifier is used only when you contact our customer service team directly.
The information we collect is never distributed or sold to third parties for commercial purposes. However, in certain cases we may share information with trusted partners who provide services on our behalf (third parties). This may include services such as data analytics and payment processing. None of the data shared is personally identifiable, and we ensure that data sharing is conducted responsibly and in accordance with applicable privacy regulations.
We store your personal data electronically. We take appropriate measures to protect the information and ensure that personal data is not used for purposes other than those agreed upon. We also take reasonable steps to safeguard the information against misuse and unauthorized access.
We may store your personal information for as long as you are a registered user of the application. If you wish to close your account, you can contact us and we will assist you with this process. Please note that in some cases we may be required or permitted by law to retain certain personal data for a longer period, for example to comply with legal obligations or to meet legitimate business needs. Even if you request deletion of your personal data, it may remain on backup or archival media for an additional period for legal, tax, or regulatory reasons.
The information you provide is accessible only to a limited number of authorized individuals within our organization who have a legitimate business need to access it. This includes employees across departments such as marketing, customer support, and other relevant teams involved in delivering and improving our services. Access to personal data is strictly controlled and granted only to employees who need it to perform their job duties.
If we transfer your personal data outside the EU/EEA, we do so only in accordance with the EU’s standard contractual clauses.
You have the right to request information about what data we hold about you. You may also request that we correct inaccurate information or delete your data. You can withdraw your consent at any time, in which case we will delete your user account.
If you wish to withdraw your consent, request access to your data, or request correction or deletion, please contact us at the email address provided under Contact. To process your request, we require you to verify your identity by submitting an electronic copy of your request along with a copy of your driver’s license, passport, national ID card, or other documentation that confirms your identity.
